Delicate Treasures

biography

Our jewelry is all handcrafted, one at a time, in our home studio.  I am the earring and wire sculpture artist and my husband Dana is the fused glass artist and our tool smith.

We use the highest quality materials from all over the world: Swarovski Austrian crystals, Turkish sterling silver beads, Venetian glass from Murano, Italy, 14KT gold-filled and sterling silver components, and native flame worked glass.

We’ve only been creating pieces to sell since 2003.  In March of 2002 I began by making earrings for myself because most of what was available wasn’t interesting and didn’t dangle.  Since I bought my first pair of wire sculptured earrings while in college, I’ve always enjoyed collecting them.  Dana tells me I’ve been studying the design of earrings for over 30 years.

In October of 2002 I took a wire wrapping course at William Holland School of Lapidary Arts.   I convinced Dana to come with me and take a fused glass course, since he has always been attracted to glass.  That is when the fun really began.  By the fifth day of class, we had combined our work and created our first wire wrapped fused glass pendant.  Now we exchange new ideas about color and designs daily.  The ideas are born faster than they can be realized. We love it.

We enjoy creating pieces by merging our talents to enhance each other’s work.  The pieces are colorful, distinctive, and affordable, and intended to be worn and enjoyed every day.
